savethewords.org

A few moths ago I discovered savethewords.org, its a brilliant website that features words that have been forgotten in the English language. The visitor is shown a spread of words which once scrolled over shout and scream "pick me!"
This is because the point of the site is to adopt a word and promise to use it frequently in conversation whenever the opportunity presents itself, thus helping to keep the word from going extinct. I thought this was marvelous and I loved the concept, so much so it inspired me to do some illustrations for a few of the words featured on the site. I randomly picked words and then I did basic hand drawings which were then scanned and transferred to the computer. I wanted the drawings to be raw and not too modern as the words are old and therefore I didn't alter them too far from their original form.

roblet v 1674 -1755

LOGORAMA

I loved Logorama!!! A short film directed by H5 and I was amazed! The entire setting for the film and everything in it is made up of well known logos, the story line is brilliant and witty and the message clear. Every designer would love it and if you haven't seen it already, as most people probably have considering they won an academy award for it this year, then give it a look now.

Where to begin...

So after playing around for the past three hours setting up this blog page, after trying to make it look "cooool", and quite honestly failing in many aspects. I have finally arrived at the moment where I make my very first post. I created two Plasticine characters last night that I plan to take over the world with, but before that happens and before I come up with a solid plan of what I'll do with them: I introduce to you Beety and Bob.
